About La Fuga

Formed in July 1996 by Edu (drums), Rulo (guitar/vocals), Fito (lead guitar/vocals), and Inaki (bass), Spanish rock band La Fuga performed regularly in their hometown of Reinosa before recording their first album, the self-produced El Camino, in 1997. After Fak Records released their sophomore album, Mira, new lead guitarist Nando joined the lineup, replacing the departing Fito. In December 1998, the group performed an acoustic concert in Reinosa, using the proceeds to purchase gifts for children of the community. A limited-edition recording of the event, Un Juguete por Navidad, was released by Whisper Producciones, which also issued the group's next studio album, A Golpes... de Rock & Roll. The record's success and critical acclaim opened doors for further recording projects throughout the 2000s. ~ Evan C. Gutierrez
