About Ronnie McNeir
Ronnie McNeir conceived a highly individualistic approach to music synthesis over the course of three albums released during the 1970s: a pair of self-titled albums released in 1972 and 1975, along with Love's Comin' Down, released on Motown in 1976. Hyperkinetic (broken chord), jazzy synth-basslines, churchy organ, multi-note piano chords, and sinewy high and mid-range ARP solo lines weave in and out of the mix while McNeir supplied all the vocals and acoustic drums. A prolific collaborator through the early 2000s, he worked with the Four Tops, David Ruffin, the Dramatics' L.J. Reynolds, and Rena Scott. ~ Ed Hogan
