Seraphic Fire

About Seraphic Fire

Seraphic Fire is one of the leading vocal ensembles in the U.S., with a varied repertory that includes Gregorian chant and monophony by Hildegard of Bingen, traditional monuments of Baroque choral music, Romantic works of Brahms and Mahler, and new music, often commissioned specifically for the group. The group's work also has a strong educational component. Seraphic Fire has been especially visible through its recordings, which began in 2005 with the release Beginnings. Several of the group's recordings have made the top ten on Billboard magazine's Traditional Classical album sales chart, and Seraphic Fire garnered two Grammy Award nominations in 2012 for the albums Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem, Op. 45, and A Seraphic Choir Christmas. Seraphic Fire released the album Hildegard von Bingen: Ordo Virtutum in 2021, returning in 2023 with The Apple Tree: Christmas with Seraphic Fire.
