The Victorian English Gentlemens Club

About The Victorian English Gentlemens Club

The Victorian English Gentlemens Club is a shouty indie rock trio featuring Adam Taylor (guitar/vocals), Louise Mason (bass/vocals), and Emma Daman (drums). Hailing from Cardiff, Wales, the punky pop threesome made their recording debut in early 2006; with the limited-edition "The Tales of Hermit Mark"/"My Son Spell Backwards" released in the spring and double A-side "Amateur Man"/"Ban the Gin" following that summer, the Victorian English Gentlemans Club added to the anti-emo sentiment currently taking their native U.K. by storm thanks to the growing popularity of Horrors and Blood Red Shoes. Shows with You Say Party! We Say Die! coincided with the release of their self-titled debut album in fall 2006; first single "Impossible Sightings Over Shelton" debuted at number ten on the U.K. Indie Singles Chart its first week out. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
