About What We Live
What We Live is a project consisting of saxophonist Larry Ochs (of ROVA), bassist Lisle Ellis, and drummer Donald Robinson, all of whom played together in the Glenn Spearman Double Trio. Formed in the San Francisco Bay area in the mid-'90s, the group improvises and performs compositions by Ochs and Ellis. The group has performed at several festivals, including Vancouver's DuMaurier Jazz Festival, toured Europe, and recorded a few interesting albums for the Black Saint and New World labels. ~ Joslyn Layne
