Album Review

2010 X-Factor winner Matt Cardle releases his highly anticipated debut album Letters. The Essex crooner had previously tried his luck with rock bands Darwyn and Seven Summers before entering the TV talent show, in which he subsequently triumphed. The winning song “When We Collide” — a cover of Biffy Clyro's “Many of Horror” — is featured here alongside second single “Run for Your Life,” which was penned by Gary Barlow. Cardle co-wrote the rest of the album, working with James Walsh (Starsailor) and Eg White (Adele, Duffy, James Morrison) to complete the 13-track record., Rovi

Matt Makes a good impression

Well it's finally here and I have to say I love it ... He demonstrates his writing skills that we have been hearing about very well ... As a vocalist ... Well class ... To hit the high notes like he does fair play Mary ... Great debut album :) can't wait for next one already

Amazing

I've been following Matt since his first audition and I've been waiting for this album for so long. I know that his first single wasn't really "Matt" so I couldn't wait for album to hear his style and his writing and we haven't been let down.

This album is so beautiful. The lyrics are really emotional and as always from Matt you can here the emotion as he sings. I had goosebumps and shivers listening to many tracks.
His voice is just incredible and there's many notes in there that just knock you off your feet.
I love the fantastic mix of songs you got the upbeat songs and some ballads and I also love the acoustic versions too. Definetly buy the deluxe addition everyone because the acoustics are phenomenal.

I've so many favourites but if I was to shorten the list it would be Amazing, Stars and Lovers, Starlight and Pull me Under.

I'm so happy with this album, honestly the best album I have ever bought because there isn't a song I don't like on there. Usually when I buy an album I only like 3 or 4 songs! Matt I'm so proud to call myself a fan! Roll on album 2!!

:)

Unreal :D

While talent show juggernaut The X-Factor was previously more successful at creating female R&B superstars Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke, the 2010 season of the series produced its first male winner to compete with the soft rock style of American Idols Kris Allen and David Cook in the shape of falsetto-voiced Matt Cardle. Born in Southampton, Hampshire in 1983, Cardle attended the same sixth form college as X-Factor host Dermot O'Leary and 2009 runner-up Olly Murs before taking on a host of...
