A fantastic new album after a break of several years

Loreena McKennitt has once again woven a rich musical tapestry, combining flavours of Celtic/Folk/& Eastern Cultures. Her ethereal voice, with underlying tones of melancholy and wisdom, is phenomenal. I often gauge her albums by the sheer power of the goosebumps I get when I listen! "An Ancient Muse" combines acoustic threads from her earlier works. Like Lisa Gerrard, Loreena has the remarkable talent of being able to use her voice, without words, as a haunting and powerful instrument. This new album is a must-have.
