iTunes Review

Big, bold and baroque, Florence + The Machine's debut album thrives on drama. Built around the effortless sweep of Florence Welch's voice, and the delicate trills of the harp, it proudly lays its emotions bare, barrelling between suffocating lust on “Drumming Song”, debilitating fear on “Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)” and the pain of heartbreak on the breathless “Cosmic Love". But Welch also understands the power of redemption: She closes with a rousing version of The Source and Candi Staton's “You've Got the Love”.

The Album of the Decade

This is an incredibly beautiful album. Haunting lyrics, catchy tunes and kooky inspiring vocals. Each song is markedly different to the next, each as good as the one before. Described as Kate Bush wrestling with Bjork, I personally think this girl has a voice of her own, Kate Bush at her best. Amazing, beautiful with an unstopable listening ability. Download Dog Days, Rabbit Heart, Swimming - the whole album!

You hav'nt lived 'till you've listened to this!

This album has the perfect mix of catchy beats and mind-blowing vocals. It creates a feeling inside you like you have just witnessed perfection. Quite possibly the best album I've ever listened to. Well worth buying.

Haunting and gritty, light and pretty

Harps + haunting lyrics + lovely vocals + pretty, delicate little harmonies + epicness = a must have album!
