Bubbling with buoyant, laidback rhythms and sweetly infectious melodies, this solo debut from former Bob Marley & The Wailers member Peter Tosh made him a reggae legend in his own right. Though he would later explore a more hard-edged tone, the chilled vibe rolling throughout these tracks has a special place in our hearts. Tosh’s musical joy shines through on the playful “Ketchy Shuby”, the bouncy “Burial” and the politically charged title track, which instantly became an anthem for pro-marijuana activists around the globe.

Singer, musician, composer, and rebel Peter Tosh cut a swathe through the Jamaican musical scene, both as a founding member of the Wailers and as a solo artist. He toured with the Rolling Stones and had an international hit with a duet with Mick Jagger, then toured again to equally rapturous world audiences as the headlining act.
