Editors’ Notes

Under their trademark masks and amid a swirl of rumors, the enigmatic electronic music pioneers known as Daft Punk return with their fourth full-length studio album, Random Access Memories. Celebrated for futuristic disco-funk explorations and visually arresting performances, the follow-up to 2005’s blockbusting Human After All and the innovative 2010 soundtrack to Tron: Legacy brings the elusive French duo back into a dazzling spotlight.

Absolutely fantastic album

Just finished listening to the iTunes stream. This is easily my favorite Daft Punk album to date. Every song is unique, some are radio friendly tunes and some are absolutely bonkers. I was really sceptical reading some early reviews of the album but my word have Daft Punk delivered. This is one you'll listen to over and over again.

Extremely poor album

If you like listening to singing through a vocoder this is the album for you. This is a mediocre middle of the road pop record with two decent tracks. Daft Punk that made the classic album Homework where are you ?? This is awful stuff Daft Punk RIP

Oh yes

I think many people will be disappointed with this album as it is a major departure from daft punks last few albums .. It's pure live instrument album not sampled and looped filtered into the duos classic style .. To me it seems like a collection of Daft Punks past music memories ... It's magic , it restores my faith in dance music .. Although it ain't dance as we know it.. It's the future past revisited in all it's spectacular glory... So don't be cruel and dismiss this because the lack of four to the floor 909 drums filtering effects etc.. But love it for what it is a collection of magical sounds from a time gone by, repackaged to be sounds of now ...

The combined talents of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, the Parisian duo quickly won acclaim for their unique blend of first-wave acid house and techno with pop, indie rock, and hip-hop. One of the pair's first projects together was Darling, an instrumental indie cover band; their current recording name...
