Although his later work encompassed light opera, sacred songs, and popular material, he remained associated with the heritage of his Scottish homeland. Despite a plethora of contemporaneous pop acts, McKellar was somewhat surprisingly nominated as Britain’s representative in the 1966 Eurovision Song Contest....
