iTunes Review

Their hooks are on fire. The Followills double down with a masterclass in monumental choruses and sweeping prairie rock on songs that pack devastating pop precision beneath their ragged soul. It’s hard to look beyond “Sex On Fire”—an audacious cocktail of anthemic uplift and unbuckled raunch—but from the crackling stomp of “Crawl” and the soaring harmonies on “Use Somebody” to the triumphant chimes gilding “17”, this fourth record (released just a year after their third) is a near-flawless showcase of Caleb, Jared, Nathan and Matthew’s songwriting supremacy.

Solid but not spectacular

With the exception of 3 songs the latest offering isn’t up the standard of the previous albums. The sound is more pop and more predictable. There doesn’t seem to be the ‘random’ or ‘edgy’ qualities that made the earlier albums so unique. Although some would say it’s an evolution in sound, its not, and in time will be considered one of their weaker albums. Never fail to impress!

I just bought it on the way home from school and listened to it and oh my god its unbeliavabble!

Definitely as good as their newest album ! All the songs are catchy and dont get boring even when your iPod freezes on the album and wont turn off :)
So yeah amazing - like a fresh RedHotChilliPeppers(: <3

Such revivalist music was matched by a similarly revivalist appearance -- including long hair, mustaches, and tight-fitting...
