Pearls and Brass’ sophomore album raises the bar for their sound in every way, packing in more muscle, more speed and more unholy distortion. Delivering riff after riff of Sabbath-worthy sludge, The Indian Tower also dips its toes into charged-up swamp boogies (“The Mirror”) and fingerpicked folk stompers (“I Learn the Hard Way”), but finds its primary calling in the bluesy shredding meltdowns of firecrackers like “Wake In the Morning”.
