This list of dinosaurs is a comprehensive listing of all genera that have ever been included in the superorder Dinosauria, excluding class Aves (birds, both living and those known only from fossils) and purely vernacular terms. The list includes all commonly accepted genera, but also genera that are now considered invalid, doubtful (nomen dubium), or were not formally published (nomen nudum), as well as junior synonyms of more established names, and genera that are no longer considered dinosaurs. Many listed dinosaurs have since been reclassified as everything from birds to crocodilians to petrified wood. This application Includes 1300+ Items including corresponding images and write ups which include Description, Location, History and Stories behind the find and Much More.
Added items to the database.
Added Feature request for random selection of dinosaurs.
Minor improvements in interface and speed.
Added a favorites Section to store your favorite dinosaurs so you don't have to scan thru the 1400+ Dinosaurs to revisit the dinosaurs you like.

Good info, poor pictures
I'll start with the bad and end with the good. The pictures are horribly photoshopped into the app, I really can't stress that enough. I bought this app hoping to see some great pictures of dino fossils, but most of the pictures are drawings, and what pictures are there of dinosaur bones are very badly Photoshopped. When I say poor, I mean it's like someone using Photoshop for the first time did the work, pictures are stretched beyond their natural proportions, and whoever cut out the dinosaurs from their original pictures really needs to get to grips with the Magic Wand and Pen Tool in Photoshop.
What's present in the app store picture quality wise, is something you will rarely see in the app itself. They really did pick the best of the pile there. Plus each dinosaur in the app only has one picture, and when that picture is very lame as most of them are then you can see where the app starts to fail, I would loved to have seen on fossil picture (where possible) and one artist impression of what the dinosaur may have looked like. Also the classic comparison in size between a dinosaur and a human would have have been great.
Another bad point is the VERY first thing you see is a "buy" sign for some in app content.
So whats good? Lots of dinosaurs are featured in the app, and there is comprehensive written information on each dinosaur. But that's it.
The app really should be free. I hope to find a better dinosaur app out there like this.
If the developers read this please consider adding the above features in future updates and I'll happily change this review.
