Could be better

Needs the following features;

1. In app settings there should be a choice to turn notification “OFF” for each type of alarm. This should be added too the Discrete, standard, extended and Siren list.

2. If you have multiple sites you should be able to set the play audio notifications separately for each site. Currently this option sets the audio notification for all sites even though you choose the setting from within one site.

3. It would be a bonus if there was a time feature in which you create a set time too arm/disarm the alarm on particular sites.

If these features were included, especially the first two, I would definitely rate the App 5/5. Even if the app cost €2 more I would pay it for these features.

Megavars ,

It simply works. No fancy stuff

This is a basicApp. It does what it says on the “Tin”. If u want something flashy modern and bling. Stop reading now.
On GPRS it functions well when you locate your communicator in a suitable location within your home, premises or business. Mount it above and away from sources of RF interference, WiFi routers and wireless expanders.
On a WiFi connection communication via your own broadband provider. Well don’t blame the app, look at what else is competing for your connection bandwidth, system latency and router DCHP resources. Again look carefully at where your WiFi router is located and where your alarm communicator is within your premises. If there are multiple WiFi signals, remember there are only 13 channels available and if your neighbour is using similar WiFi channels, Interference is and can be a problem for your security system communicator to resolve adequately.
As for additional output resources, they work well. Again proper and well sourced interfaces ( heating, lights, gate,) do work correctly. You simply get what you pay for.
This app I would recommend fully and I have no connection what so ever with any security company, broadband provider or GSM company.

Hipper212122 ,

Handy app but needs improvements

I have the app about 3 months now on a second house i own so the App notifications are brilliant along with boiler and lighting control. One problem i have with this app is if your phone is on silent you won’t hear alarm notifications which is really silly. I would suggest adding a setting to the app to allow it to bypass silence mode. If your alarm goes off you need to know asap even if you are in a meeting or asleep etc. Another item is outputs, why i cannot set an output to turn on in advance? I thought I could do this but you can only turn it on manually and tell it how long for. In my view if HKC tweak these items they will have a fantastic app.
