Ratings and Reviews
If you run one of the video reports on the site an alert appears on the screen (partly blocking it!) that another, random video will follow. If you don’t press the pause button you are treated to some unrelated video. I contacted the Irish Times and asked them to either discontinue this annoying feature or to have an option to switch it off (You Tube provide such a feature). The Irish Times refused saying that not enough people objected. Thanks for nothing!
Crashes when offline.
Really irritating that the app crashes a lot but when it crashes offline, it won’t open again without a WiFi or network connection. Please fix this.
If you are on a 2 hour flight and it crashes 5 minutes in........
Notifications let this otherwise great app down
I want to give this five stars but notifications are very poorly implemented. They expire after 24 hours, even when the articles still exist, which is contra to app store guide lines.
Also, the inability to customise notifications is a nuisance. I want breaking news but never ever want sports news.
