Too unstable to rely on

I’ve been using the app on my iPhone 8 for a few months now. It is a fantastic resource, but I keep having the same issue. I search for a word, and as soon as I select it and begin reading about it the screen goes completely blank from the spot underneath where you choose the dictionary down (where the information about searched words is displayed). Sometimes the app crashes and closes down entirely, however, more often I can see the information about the word for a few seconds and then get the blank screen. I had hoped this might be solved soon but successive updates haven’t fixed it. The dictionaries available here are the most comprehensive available digitally, and are a vital resource to learners and enthusiasts, so it is extremely frustrating to have their utility ruined by the instability of the application, and to have to resort to using other dictionary applications which do not contain nearly the same wealth if information. I hope this gets fixed soon. If it weren’t for this issue, I would be giving the app a 5 star rating.

Vital for Irish language learners

I’m very grateful that this app exists. It can translate in both directions and has audio. It explains how to do plurals too.

Developer Response

A chara, we've just released a new version of the app that aims to alleviate the issues you mention. We hope you'll find this version better to use. Míle buíochas.

Go hiontach!

This is so amazing!!! I don’t normally write reviews but just had to for this one. I needed an app for tuiseal ginideach and verbal nouns and verbal adjectives. This one has everything! Ar fheabhas ar fad!!
