An excellent player but very buggy

Thanks to this wonderful player you can now play .mkv and .avi files (to name a few) straight on the iPad without having to convert them to .mov files. However the interface needs work and every time some bugs get fixed it appears new ones appear. However that would not stop me for recommending it to anyone who wants to watch movies on their iPad with ease.

Good for video, but useless for audio

Good video player, however if you are considering playing music, it is quite useless.

It automatically splits the musics into albums by creating folders not allowing you to play all your songs unless you leave the folder.

Changed from 2* to 3* due the feedback from the app developer.

Developer Response

We are working on a major update for next year to enable proper music playback. Right now, the app mainly focusses on video.

3.0.1 update AVI files still won’t play

NAS issue is fixed thanks. Only remaining issue across all platforms is certain DIVX Avi files they used to play won’t play

Fixed the issue relating to browsing network directories but still won’t play AVI files locally. It will play them on. UPnP wireless drive. When you download it just stalls, screen stays blank for a while and then the sound plays but no video. If I could go back to previous version it would Be much better than this. Clearly no testing. It’s same results iPad and IPhone 7

3.0.0 Update
Won’t connect to NAS, just restarts when browsing
Poor quality development

Developer Response

The NAS issue was resolved with 3.0.1. Please let us know if you still see issues when you try to connect!
