A Brooklyn indie duo with glimmering shoegaze tendencies, Beverly was formed in 2013 by scene luminaries Frankie Rose (former member of Crystal Stilts, Vivian Girls, Dum Dum Girls, and other influential bands) and Drew Citron of Ava Luna. The two friends quickly took to each other's songwriting and playing styles and issued a first look at their dreamy pop sound with online track "Honey Do" in the winter of 2014. Live performances featured Citron on guitar, Rose on drums, and tandem vocals from both. Kanine Records released Careers later that year. ~ Fred Thomas
