Convened by producer Phil Spector, Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans paired lead vocalists Bobby Sheen and Darlene Love to create dramatic bubblegum pop. The short-lived project made a lasting impression with their 1962 rendition of the Disney standard “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.”
