Beginning their career with the moody, melancholy post-rock album The Burden of Hope (2003), their sound expanded with their frequent lineup shifts. The group took influence from international psychedelic and progressive rock acts on albums like Burning Off Impurities (2007) and Doomsdayer's Holiday (2008), then explored a more cinematic, occult-inspired direction with Deep Politics (2011). Subsequent albums Chalice Hymnal (2017) and Anches En Maat (2023) have relied less on guitars and more on strings and electronic textures.
