One of the true legends of the Detroit rock music scene, Scott Morgan attracted local attention as the soulful frontman for Ann Arbor's late-'60s garage heroes the Rationals. He then joined ex-MC5 guitarist Fred "Sonic" Smith, former Stooges drummer Scott Asheton, and onetime-Up bassist Gary Rasmussen to form the near-mythical Sonic's Rendezvous Band. After Smith left the band, Morgan went on to form the Scott Morgan Band, Dodge Main, and Powertrane, among many others. He continued to perform into the 2010s before being sidelined by poor health. ~ Rovi Staff
