Founded in Charleston, South Carolina, the Explorers Club conjure up memories of Southern California with a mix of pop melodies, vintage production, and Beach Boys-styled harmonies. The band formed in 2005, with 23-year-old Jason Brewer assuming lead vocals and songwriting duties, and would undergo several lineup changes between albums with Brewer still at the helm. Their nostalgic debut, Freedom Wind, arrived in 2008, followed by Grand Hotel in 2012. The group relocated to Nashville in 2014 and, still sporting Beach Boys-evoking vocal harmonies and sounds of SoCal '60s and '70s AM pop, issued Together in 2016. ~ Andrew Leahey & Marcy Donelson
