The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella (Twilight Saga) (Unabridged)

by Stephenie Meyer

Open iTunes to Buy

Fans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by the riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to an unforgettable conclusion. 'I'm as surprised as anyone about this novella,' said Stephenie Meyer. 'When I began working on it in 2005, it was simply an exercise to help me examine the other side of Eclipse, which I was editing at the time. I thought it might end up as a short story that I could include on my website. Then, when work started on The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, I thought the Guide would be a good fit for my Bree story. However, the story grew longer than I anticipated, until it was too long to fit into the Guide.'

Great book

This book is a great read as it provides any twihard with an insight into the life of a newborn vampire. It's funny sad and romantic

Wow. I personaly love twilight and I never really thought about the life of a newborn until I read this book. It's about the newborn "Bree" who has become a vampire and she has no friends, she always has to watch her back. She meets Diego, another vampire. This changes things alot. He clears her head and helps her and in just one day, it feels like she's known him a lifetime!
It's really sad because she doesn't have much of a life, and she never knows who to trust. Riley, who you should know from Eclipse, is always lying to the newborns. Anyway as you go through the book it gets better.
When I read the other books, I thought positively about vampires, but Bree has a horible life. It's a really dark book, but anyone who loves Twilight should definately get this. It's really very good. I found it quite intersting hearing a story that wasn't from Bella's point of view. Seeing what Bella looked like to a vampire. So if you enjoyed the other books you'll enjoy this one too.
