Perseus is the first book in the Early Myths collection, a series of children's picture books about Greek myth. Each book tells the tale of a character from mythology and brings the story to life through the inspiration from art and literature. The books are aimed at 4 to 10 year olds and contain multimedia features such as sounds, narrator audio and slideshows. The books are beautifully illustrated, easy to read or listen to.

Perseus is the tale of a young boy who has to flee his home with his mother and grows up in a foreign land. To prove his worth he claims he can take on the magical Gorgon, Medusa. With the help of the gods he flies across the lands and faces his greatest challenge, rescuing princess Andromeda along his journey and coming home to claim his throne.

Customer Reviews

My four year old loved this book - the pictures are beautiful and the story is really accessible for kids. The little audio clips are great fun too so they can enjoy the story by themselves. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Really enjoyable

I'm really looking forward to the rest in this series- This one is excellent and really accessible for our kids' generation, where 'super heroes' rule! Perseus is the original 'super hero', and we were delighted that he even got a 'happy ever after' ending.

Rich and fun

Loved the story and the mythology. Learned a lot and would love to see more. Beautifully done…images, voice, sounds and all. Thanks
