Mitch Cooper, a 27-year-old journalist in Los Angeles, is single, broke, and addicted to sex with strangers. Recently fired from his job and in desperate need of some money, he must write a groundbreaking story in order to apply for a new one. Along comes Natalie, a Stanford University educated escort who, while making a lot of money on the job, feels insecure in her unpredictable and potentially dangerous encounters. She reluctantly agrees to let Mitch follow her around as her on-call bodyguard, so that he can also write his story.
