Good Content, Unbelievably Bad App

I really like Channel 12. Sadly, this app is completely unusable. It feels like someone is running a crypto miner on my iPhone every time I run it: The device heats up like crazy, starts throttling, battery drains and even iOS elements outside the app become unusable until killed. Whatever analytics/mining/other operation running in the background while the app is in use makes it unbearably slow. I’ve yet to experience any other app that was even capable of making my device kneel like this.

One other thing, that might even be fixable without a complete refactor Scrolling. For some reason, you have to stop scrolling in one direction completely before you can scroll to the other direction, thus it becomes a very unnatural and unpleasant experience to scroll in the app.

I really hope this is fixed, although I can’t say I’m hopeful, as I can see comments from like 2 years ago here mentioning the same stuff. Contemplating just moving to ynet. Website doesn’t look great, but at least it’s functional.

Disappointed

The app does not support dark mode (hello it’s 2023 and you’re the biggest news channel in Israel)
the app takes a lot of power and it shows while using multiple apps at once. Reloading constantly.
I understand commercials are profitable but every thing you do or press gives you a commercial, on the chat, on every article. Switching where the exit button is and delaying it for a few seconds. Time consuming. Let alone the fact that you can’t use the app from a phone browser because if it.
If you’re hearing music you scroll for a bit on the up and then the music stops, a very annoying bug.

Keep getting white screen

When reading an article, it suddenly changes to a white screen for about 5 seconds and then the page reloads slowly.
After reload it happens again and again.
This is a new bug in the last few days (maybe a week)
I’m using iphone with the latest version update
