I read mostly with the Kindle app rather than the Kindle device
It’s nicely designed, provides a seamless interface for your books and there is only one single fault that makes me rate it at 4 stars. The sync functionality between the kindle and phone is inconsistent, and doesn’t always take me to the latest spot. The inconsistency means I have to double check every time, which is annoying. Other than that, I actually read books on my iPhone most of the time rather than with my Kindle device (helps address the sync unreliability too).
Fantastic app
I always have a book being read in my iPhone kindle app. It is very handy and user friendly. I like that I can lock the direction, enlarge the text and google a word with one or two steps. I downloaded it for a recently acquired iPad and looking forward to using that too. Some books have audio, which is a fantastic way to drive safely and keep reading!
It seemed when I got my kindle app I could find more free books. Now, even though I pay a monthly fee for books, I still have to pay a dollar or two for the kindle books, which I don’t even get to keep.
The problem when opening a book
When trying to open the book Read Japanese Today, the application on iPAD shows only a circle saying it is busy all the time and there is no way to open another book as when restarting the application it starts to open the same book. The only way to get out is reinstallation of the application.
I did not see any problem opening the other books from my library.
IPAD info: iOS 14.4, Pro version 11 inch.
