Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Caffeine is a tiny program that puts an icon in the right side of your menu bar. Click it to prevent your Mac from automatically going to sleep, dimming the screen or starting screen savers. Click it again to go back. Right-click (or ⌘-click) the icon to show the menu.
Important: Caffeine lives in the MENU BAR, and this is where its state is indicated. App Store puts the Caffeine icon in the dock, but you can just remove it if you want to.
Must have app
A must-have app on the mac. Really useful for the times when you want to do something without putting your mac to sleep. Itunes, stocks, rss feeds or twitter updates, this app is super nifty when you want to see what's going on all the time(things you would have missed after the screen saver starts). Sure you can disable the screen saver or increase the screen saver start time but this is just *so* easy to switch on and off. Once you use it, you just cannot live without it.
Useful little app
While giving a long presentation it is annoying to have your screen saver kick in or to have your display go to sleep. Caffeine allows you to temporarily prevent your machine from snoozing off with a single click. When done with your presentation, you can simply quit the application or click its menubar icon (aptly, a coffee cup) again to deactivate it. No need to fiddle with Screen Saver or Energy Saver settings!
Tiny little powerhouse
You think you won’t need this, but once you get it, you won’t be able to do without it! This is by far the most used app I have. It’s easy and small and is incredibly productive.
