Nebo Note-taking 4+

I’ve had this app for two years at least. The combination of thoughts flowing through a pen, and convenience of converting them to digital text instantly with minimal corrections, is the best out there. Being able to convert and export text to popular formats has made the Apple Pencil worth it (in addition to drawing, if that’s something you do). Other note taking apps give you great freedom and control on the writing tool, appearance of the page and file organization (which is something Nebo could introduce) but they don’t match the utility Nebo provides.
I hope future versions solve problems others seem to have as they continue to add new features.

I really like Nebo as a note taking app. It has some amazing features that make it stand out from the rest. For example, the handwriting experience is smooth and natural, the shape and arrow tools are very advanced and smart, the text conversion is accurate and fast, and the strike through and underline options are very useful and unique. I also appreciate the frequent updates and improvements. However, there are some things that could be better. I wish there was a color fill option for the shapes. Also, the top two bars take up too much space on the screen, which reduces the writing area. And in PDFs, the highlighters should go behind the text, not over it, because otherwise it makes it hard to read. Overall, I think Nebo is a great app for note taking and I would recommend it to anyone who likes handwriting on their devices.

Update: I had to change the rating to 1 star becuase of the lag in infinite canvas. Also I have chnaged nebo from the default. Even clicking undo is laggy.

Thanks for reporting the abnormal lag and sorry for this inconvenience. Please follow these steps in order: Restart your iPad and only run Nebo. Check if the lag issue persists. If the lag continues, empty the trash and test again. If the lag persists even after emptying the trash, disable the smart guide by going to Settings → Writing → Conversion Preview. Check if the lag issue is resolved. If the lag still persists, deactivate sync by going to Settings → Sync → Disconnect. As the title suggests, I bought this app as it had the best handwriting to text feature on the App Store. In fact, it was the only app that could recognise my handwriting, which I admit is pretty bad. But in the last few months, either my handwriting became worse or the app lost its previous versatility as it can’t recognise my handwriting anymore.

I’m disappointed that I lost the main feature I wanted in the app, but other than that it is a good app for note taking. Also, as some other reviews suggests, I kindly request you to add the edit pdfs feature, instead of the existing annotate feature which is already offered in many other apps.

I really am a fan off the one-time payment scheme that the app offers, as the subscription based model is just vampiric. The app otherwise is a great app!! Thank you developers!!
