Poor Customer care service

I’ve increasingly come to realise over the past year that Oyo’s customer care services are nearly non-existent. For example- I recently I booked a hotel in the night and accidentally booked it for the same date. Upon realising I made a mistake I looked for an option on the app to post-pone the booking to the required date. Since there was none, I cancelled the booking and immediately booked a room in the same hotel for the required date. Funny thing was that I did not get refunded for the cancelled booking. I went through a painful process with the CC chat option on the app where the executives just dont answer or keep dissapearing in the middle of the chat. Eventually I was told the refund couldn’t be processed because I cancelled the booking “after 9am”. I had made the booking around 9pm and cancelled it almost immediately. How could I cancel a booking i made in the night of the same date before 9am? Then earlier last year I had booked a room with girlfriend in Chennai. The hotel’s owner tried to barge into the room while trying to forcibly interact with my gf in my absence. When I returned And learnt of the events, I tried to contact customer care to book an alternate hotel or something and complaint about the current one. The same thing had happened back then, I couldn’t get in touch with anyone. Oyo’s customer care service is nearly non existent. This is alarming especially for a fairly frequent user such as myself.

Bad experience

I have been using Oyo for quite sometime. I have even used their services to travel abroad and at that time I was pretty much satisfied always with service and care provided. But this one experience I had to go through this week has changed my opinion. I had specifically booked an AC room for my stay in mysore . And from all the offers I got a good and a cheap deal. After arriving at the hotel, the staff was rude and gave us a non-AC room. And the room was nothing like it was depicted in the pictures. The bathroom was small. The sheets were rough and when I took a small nap I woke up scratching my face immediately. Which I assume is either because of bed bugs or dust in the room as it looked pretty dingy in the first place. And I’m severely allergic to dust. Upon complaining to the staff, they ridiculed us in paying a higher price for an AC room and also said that at the price paid this is the only room I could afford. I immediately contacted the customer support complaining about the issue, but the first guy just left me on hold and cut the call and the second guy nothing to say except that ‘ he’s very sorry for the inconvenience caused’ rather than coming up with a solution, he just went on repeating those lines again and again. And to mention even he kept me on hold for quite sometime. I immediately vacated my room because of all the trouble and at the same time had to cut short my trip.

The worst Customer service

In past 3 months I had many bookings but in many of my booking when I make a booking the amount was different so I did pay it online thru the application but when I visited the hotel they asked me for some extra money like 300 to 500rs and they told me to check on the application it will show pending and you will have to pay that amount for the Chek in and I had no option rather then paying them the extra charges and when I called for the help they did not wanted to help in that case and recently I had canceled a booking on on 10 August 2022 with the booking I’d (VTBJ5540) and I was suppose to get the refund back but aft 6 days I still did not get any response from any OYO help desk I did send many emails made many callls they just kept me on hold and then they just hang up and this days OYO has no Intention to return anyones refund amount I tried every possible way but got no help it seems i will never get the amount back now OYO this days seems running a big time fraud I would like to tell everyone to stop using this application as they are running a big time fraud now be aware of all this before you make any bookings

After this review I received an update saying that they will look into this matter but never got any updates or any refund so be aware of this fraud company and if you do not get your money just put a charge back on the amount you paid call your bank and put a chargeback for it the bank will help you with this issue
