Best news app of India
Undoubtedly it is the best Indian news app so far for me. Ever since I downloaded this app it has become my prime source for news. But they have a huge job at hand improving it. One of that can be linking of dictionary service when ever a difficult word is be understood by the reader. Even the option to copy words or sentences will be hugely helpful. They should do a lot more to curb racial, abusive comments posted by untraceable app users as that accounts to hatred in society. Many times when I read such abusive and racial comments I was left depressed and let down which could have been avoided had they had good censorship and accountable app users. But all in all I admit this is my best news app.
Where is the opinion section in the TOI App?
The TOI App no longer shows the opinion section which was a part of it a few months ago. It therefore does allow access to the Op ed and centre page articles that appear in the print edition. The usefulness of the Ap has hence distinctly reduced.
Is this a way of making us continue a subscription to the print edition? A better option would be to provide a paid subscription to the TOI App that provides a more complete coverage so that, if the price is reasonable, some of us could shift out of the print edition without a loss to TOI, on the grounds of convenience and saving news print.
I really enjoy reading it in early hours of the day when no one imagine having hard copy of the paper. Throughout the day also we can update also through it.
