Typist 4+

For free, I really can't complain. It Worked for me within 4 weeks of constant practice. I went from touch typing with 2 fingers to literally now using all fingers and knowing where all the keys are without looking at keyboard. Like that it keeps track of your progress in the "statistics" area. If you keep up with the lessons, the program should definitely take you from very basic, where I was, to an intermediate level. The rest is up to the individual with further practice.

I got myself a new mac and found that the keys on my keyboard are placed a bit differently compared to other keyboards. I thought that this would be the perfect time to learn learn touch-typing.

1) At first glance this app looked too simple but as i progressed with the lessons — I saw how effecient this app is at serving its purpose.
2) No unnecessary options.
3) It shows details regarding your typing speed, accuracy etc. But doesn’t record it permanently, which is great as people obsess with reducing errors and increasing speed too early on and this negatively impacts learning. As these things take time.

Finally, I want to convey my thanks to Mr. Ogihara for providing such a simple yet effective app for free.

I loved working with this app. It had always been my go to learning app. Its very interactive and responsive to our misses and helps us to use more fingers for faster typing. A Daily practice will take you to type phenomenally.
