This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Mukurtu Mobile allows users to add stories to Mukurtu CMS, a content management system and community archive designed with indigenous communities needs in mind.
With Mukurtu Mobile you can create content on-the-go and upload media to your own Mukurtu CMS-powered site, while maintaining control over your content.
- Who uses this app?
Mukurtu CMS is free and open source software supporting a worldwide community of users and organizations. Mukurtu CMS users are a dynamic group of indigenous communities, archivists, librarians, curators, researchers and software developers, who are keen on saving and sharing digital heritage - pictures, documents, videos, reference materials, audio clips, museum collections - and using cultural protocols developed by each community to manage their collections safely.
- Mukurtu Mobile
Mukurtu Mobile is the fastest, easiest way to capture events and stories when you are on-the-go. Content can be collected offline and uploaded later when you have internet access. Add one or many photos, videos and audio files all geo-located automatically (you have control). Once uploaded, your content will be available automatically on your own Mukurtu CMS powered site, where you can make links to other digital heritage items, add rich metadata, and share with your community on your own terms. Mobile needs to be enabled on your Mukurtu CMS site before you can start using the app. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need help.
- How do I get Mukurtu CMS?
Visit mukurtu.org to download the software, or mukurtu.net to get a fully serviced hosted site. If you are not a mukurtu user yet, you can test the app using our demo user (instructions in the app Login view)
