Customer Reviews

interesting, eloquent, and accessible

Daniel Sargent has an interesting voice, eloquent, and accessible. I've gathered from podcast #1 that the reading list that accompanies this class is as follows:

*One World Divisible: A Global History Since 1945
*Commanding Heights / Daniel Yergin and Joseph Stanislaw
* Lost Decades: The Making of America's Debt Crisis and the Long Recovery
* The Fall of the Berlin Wall The Revolutionary Legacy of 1989

Excellent Course

Daniel is one of the best! I would recommend this course as a great introducton to Post WWII History and the Cold War. Great sound quality, great delivery, and the most interesting history course I have taken.

Fascinating and well-delivered!

I just happened on this course on iTunes U and was immediately pulled by Professor Sargent's style and analysis. This is an extremely well-delivered lecture series. Dr. Sargent has obviously spent an enormous amount of time deciding what the signal and the noise is on this particular topic and stays very on task. I really enjoyed it and thank Dr. Sargent and Berkeley for making it available to all of us.
