Information technology touches all of our lives. In today's world you interact with this technology in almost every action that you take, from riding a bus, train, or airplane, buying groceries, registering for classes, voting, or, of course, obtaining information via the internet or sending e-mail. To understand information technology you need to learn how data--text, numbers, sound and pictures--are represented in electronic form, how these are stored and transmitted, and how hardware (equipment) and software (computer programs) interact to provide useful information management tools. You also need to understand how databases work and how information technology is chosen, implemented and managed in modern organizations.

Not a human

I can't speak much, well, at all really to the content of the course (I only listened to one "lecture"). It was read by dictation software which was sometimes hard to understand and really hard to listen to.
