WeAreBBB EP43 - Mixed Charlie Banks
Its been a while but the latest mix is finally here and it comes via yet another rising talent, 19 yr old Hypercolour signed DJ / Producer Charlie Banks. Charlie first came to our attention when he played the Hypercolour stage at Glade this year and we were so impressed by his ability behind the decks that we booked him to support Art Department later in the year, where he again threw down easily the best set of the evening. For those who havent caught Charlie in the mix before we strongly recommend latching your ears on this mix of smooth yet powerful house beats. Charlie is also signed to Hypercolour and recently dropped his first 12 via 'Dirt Crew Recordings'. One to watch.

WeAreBBB EP42 - Mixed Alfie
Aged 17 and born in the village of Oxted, home to a number of electronic dignitaries, Alfie has been raised on a balanced diet of Garage, Dubstep, Jungle, DNB, and Hip Hop which he has further infused with his personal love for old school Ska and Jazz. Taking key elements from each of these styles Alfies music is deftly relevant in your ear and on the floor.
With Alfie's debut release on Blah Blah Blah Records 'Uncomfortably Numb / About Midday' gathering significant praise from the likes of Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Four Tet, Oneman, Addison Groove, and Midland among many others we decided to get him behind the decks for an exclusive BBB mixtape.

WeAreBBB EP41 - Mixed Blacksmif
We are approaching our 5th Birthday (May 12th) and as part of those celebrations we have a whole host of things planned among which is dropping perhaps our most eagerly anticipated ‘Blah Blah Blah Records‘ release to date: ‘Blacksmif – Hoop Dreams / Microweight’. With glowing reports coming in from such luminaries as Mary Anne Hobbs, Laurent Garnier, Disclosure, Ben Westbeech, Audiojack, Deadboy, South London Ordnance, and Midland among others, we decided to get Blacksmif behind the decks for an exclusive mix.
The Blacksmif sound flirts on the edge of accepted thinking, taking flamboyant percussive and melodic risks within a bass driven jazz tinged environment, the following mix typifies this unique approach as it roams freely amongst an often highly segregated field of music.

WeAreBBB EP40 - Mixed PanLeft
PanLeft is the second artist to be launching his debut via BBB Records and like REID before him his music has a conflicting sonic quality that is both foreboding and uplifting with distant echo's and delays creating a sense of isolation whilst earthy basslines and pads envelop the listner in a gathering gloom, before sizzling synths, sharp beats and elevating vocals pierce the gathering darkness.
PanLeft's - Electrika / HRTS is set to drop April 9th, and in anticipation of his debut single he has crafted a superbly judged mix of beats that seamlessly combines heavy bass, sparse percussion and strong melodies throughout. Highly Recommended.
