iTunes スタッフメモ

One of the most talented, charismatic, and unpredictable artists working today, Georgia Anne Muldrow has put out a gang of material since her 2006 debut EP, including the albums Olesi: Fragments of an Earth, King's Ballad, and Owed to Mama Rickie, plus multiple projects under different aliases (Jyoti, Pattie Blingh & The Akebulan Five) and G&D, her project with frequent collaborator/life partner Dudley Perkins. Her style is hard to describe but easy to dig: she's a relentlessly positive, spiritually aware woman, unafraid to experiment with nontraditional song structures and genre-blending on just about every track. The two of them sound great together, and it's a surprise that it took this long for them to collaborate on a whole album. Seeds inhabits a space somewhere between Erykah Badu and Sun Ra, with soulful tunes and good vibes to spare. Check out "Calabash," "Best Love," "Remember," and "The Few" with Declaime.
