Hands down the best photo sharing app for photographers. The active and inspiring community of photographers is what keeps me coming back everyday. Genuine feedback, comments and friendly people make the app enjoyable and rewarding while the key meta data and exposure triangle available to each image is something people into photos love checking out and getting greater insight into other people images. I admit, I’m a Flickr addict 🙈

I’ve been a Pro user for more than a decade now (I signed up in 2005 but I don’t remember when I started paying), and I’m very invested in this service. This means I also use the app quite heavily, but I’ve been waiting for tag searches to be implemented for a very long time now. We’ve had tags forever now—why can’t we search them? I don’t always want hits from my captions (but sometimes I do so I don’t want that taken out entirely), and I hate that we can only have photos from Everyone shown when we tap on the tags from individual photos. The same goes for the website. I use the service first and foremost as my own archive, and we need better functionality for searching our own photos. Being able to add tags when uploading photos from the app would be great too. I have a massive “add tags later” album that’s not getting any smaller. Also, it crashes pretty often. It’s been our only choice since third-party apps were essentially cut out, and it’s been long enough since that happened.

This is great! Yes, you have to subscribe to lose adverts and post a lot of photos (over 1000) but compared to Instagram where I am the product that Facebook sells to advertisers and all it takes is one bad sheep, and you get conned (to the tune of 20,000 yen), so Flickr is considerably cheaper in the long run! App is great, but I find that my process needs me to be able to like photos to remind me to work on them later. Yes, I could tag them, but one tap is better than several!
