Welcome to the ownCloud iOS app – Add an ownCloud server, and have your private file sync and share cloud up and running in no time.
Do you need private file sync and share software? Then good news, because the ownCloud iOS App enables you to connect iOS devices to a private ownCloud server running in your data center. ownCloud is open source file sync and share software for everyone from individuals operating the free ownCloud server, to large enterprises and service providers operating under ownCloud Enterprise subscriptions.
ownCloud provides a safe, secure and compliant file sync and share solution – on servers you control.
With the ownCloud iOS App you can browse all of your ownCloud synced files, create and edit new files, share these files and folders with co-workers, and keep the contents of those folders in sync across all of your devices. Simply copy a file into a directory on your server and ownCloud does the rest.
Whether using a mobile device, a desktop, or the web client, ownCloud provides the ability to put the right files in the right hands at the right time on any device in one simple-to-use, secure, private and controlled solution. After all, with ownCloud, it’s Your Cloud, Your Data, Your Way.

Barebones - needs fleshing out, but functional.
This is very much a version 1 - it does its stuff fairly reliably but badly needs a graphical and usability makeover. There is no Japanese translation as far as I can see. It has a very barebones feel and is downright clunky in places.
3 stars as it has promise and I don't doubt will be quite impressive in 6 months when the developers have added some bells and whistles to the basic skeleton. It appears to be under active development.
For now, if you use/play with owncloud, it is certainly worth downloading.
Very basic still
As this client seems Dropbox-inspired, it's hard not to compare the two. (iPad 2, iOS 5)
Pros: looks nice, connected quickly, shows me my files, lets me upload pictures, uses the "open with" dialog well, can delete files, can create folders
Cons: somewhat slow to download files (could be my server, I'm a newbie), can't seem to preview PDF or odf files natively, can't preview mp3s with iOS player, can't choose (manage?) favorite files, setup screen doesn't seem to rotate to landscape view
It's a good start, and I'm hopeful that the team can add some of the above features or make them more obvious. I don't mind having spent 99 cents to try the app.
