2...2...7...2. Ever wondered why sound people can't think of more interesting things to test mics with? Why not Peter Parker Picked A Pack Of Oh Man Spiderman Doesn't Start With A P? Beats me. Version 7.2 is here to clear up all that confusion and much much more:
- Added per podcast episode limits. If you have a pesky hourly or daily podcast you're struggling to keep up with, lay your burden at Pocket Casts feet and we'll take care of it. Appreciate all your feedback on this issue!
- Fixed an issue with the Apple Watch Now Playing screen not showing a skip back button.
- Added a setting for the default Up Next swipe, so now you can be the master of if play next or play last is best. Play next fo lyfe tho.
- Fixed quite a few other small things, including some lists getting cut off by the evil that is the mini player.
New UI is sluggish
If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. The new UI feels clunky. Especially the icon to see my playlist, it brings me first to the now-playing screen then auto-scrolls down to reveal the playlist. Is this even necessary? The homepage becomes a messy cluster of all the podcast covers, without negative space, the whole screen looks disengaging. I hope this is just an A/B testing. Fancy and modern UI don’t always bring a better user experience.
What in the hell are y'all doing?!
Why did you take away Auto Cleanup and Keep _ Episodes Per Podcast functions? I have several podcasts that run hourly news briefings that are now clogging up my app and memory.
Yay: finally syncing to other instances of the app in the account properly.
Nay: totally screwing up my setup with no warning whatsoever with a hamfisted nonintuitive update!
Almost perfect in all ways
Missing feature for transferring audio to Apple Watch and playback without a phone.
