The comprehensive WordWeb dictionary database includes:

- 70,000 usage examples
- 85,000 text pronunciations
- Synonyms, similar and related words
- N. American, British, Australian and international English
- 70,000 professionally recorded audio pronunciations

There are hint links between words that sound the same or are often confused. Additional features include the ability to drill down on any word in a definition, full bookmark support and history.

Search features include:

- Alphabetical listing
- Sounds-like and often-confused
- Fast pattern-matching search (*, ?, vowel and consonant)
- Customize search options (case, derived forms, etc)
- Full Text Search

No Internet connection is required. If you have also installed the Oxford or Chambers dictionary apps they be automatically detected and shown in separate tabs for quick cross-referencing. It will be better if there are more keyboard shortcuts

Everytime when you want to look up a new word, you have to click the delete button and click search box again. There is no keyboard shortcut for activate that search box or trigger the prounciation. Compare to Windows version, this version doesn’t have thesaurus built-in. So it is not as powerful as the Windows free version.

Friends….. This is not like windows version.In windows version ctrl+right click on a word will lead to the wordweb. It can be used in all the applications like browser, pdf, microsoft office apps, djvu files and all the document type files. But it is not so in mac version. It is a utter waste to buy this in mac version. it is not even equivalent to mac's inbuilt dictionary. It is a normal good dictionary where you have to type the word and search. I was expecting it to function as like in Windows version. But I was totally disappointed after buying this. Wordweb is an excellent dictionary for Windows but it is right opposite for Mac. Hope this review would help the interested people.
