About Avery*Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds soul, gospel, jazz, and R&B. The first single to feature her vocals was "Stalk You," a house 12" issued only in Japan. That same year she lent her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. After working on Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns and a production of Dreamgirls, she performed at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and at the inauguration of Barack Obama. She released her self-titled debut album in 2010, the year she also played a principal role in Douglas Tappin's I Dream. Sunshine released Live at Union Chapel in 2012 then signed to Shanachie for The Sun Room, which landed on Billboard's R&B and Hot 200 charts in 2014. ~ Thom Jurek
