About Jonathan Coulton

Jonathan Coulton found fame through "Thing a Week," a podcast that delivered a new song every week for a year. His talent as a pop architect, appealingly offbeat subjects, and propensity for combining them in bittersweet but humorous songs earned him a dedicated following. After polling fans, he targeted the areas where enough of them lived to sell out a venue, and toured. In 2007, his song "Code Monkey" was chosen to be the theme song of G4's Code Monkeys and "Still Alive," written for the computer game Portal, won the Game Audio Network's Song of the Year award. In 2010, Coulton opened for They Might Be Giants and worked with that band's John Flansburgh on Artificial Heart. ~ Jody Macgregor
