About Kaye Ballard

A distinguished actress and singer of theatre, film, and television, Kaye Ballard began her professional career in vaudeville in 1943. In the early '50s she made her West End debut in the revue TOUCH AND GO, before returning to Broadway as Helen of Troy in THE GOLDEN APPLE. Closely followed were roles in CARNIVAL, MOLLY, and the award winning off-Broadway revue, THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE ENTIRE WORLD AS SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF COLE PORTER. She recorded occasionally, and in 1958 made the album THE FANNY BRICE STORY IN SONG, which was adapted in film as FUNNY GIRL. In 1997 Ballard presented her one-woman show at London's Lyric Theatre.
