Description

Explore the fauna of Australia's capital in the Field Guide to Australian Capital Territory Fauna app.
The app features over 400 species, including mammals, birds, fishes, reptiles, frogs and invertebrates.

Each species profile contains a detailed description, beautiful photographs, a distribution map and the animal's endangered status. You can even listen to the calls of frogs, birds, possums, koalas, and many other animals.

The app can be used anywhere, from your backyard or school, to your favourite national park or wetland.
We've put in a lot of species, but it's still only part of the complete fauna of the ACT. Our scientists will continue to add species over time.

We are continually improving our apps. If you have any feedback, please contact us using the App Support button in the Ratings and Reviews section.

This app was produced by Museum Victoria with content provided by Australia’s leading natural history museums. It is one of a suite of eight field guide apps produced by museums for every state and territory in Australia.

What’s New

Version 2.0

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

The app has been updated to take advantage of the larger screens on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
We’ve also fixed a number of bugs, including an issue where upgrading the device to iOS 9 caused thumbnails and images to disappear in the app.
If you have any feedback, or experience any issues with this app, please contact us using the App Support button in the App Store’s “Ratings and Review” section.
