Description
The challenges of today's workplace and modern social life require a new kind of educated citizenry -- people who not only have mastered the academic basics but can also apply their knowledge across disciplines to solve complex problems, come up with new ideas, and collaborate with diverse and dispersed colleagues. In an integrated curriculum, subjects are not dissected and separated into discrete chunks. Instead, teachers and students work together in making curricular connections around a theme or topic. Traditional schedules and use of classroom spaces are altered to allow team planning and shared collaborative class time.
