Malaysian Chinese singer-songwriter Eric Moo started his first band while in high school, and has kept a spot in the limelight ever since. The late '80s and early '90s saw the man blazing the unique Singaporean "xinyao" movement along with contemporaries such as Billy Koh and Liang Wern Fook. That culminated in the release of "Kopi O", a charming number with quaint Hokkien pop culture references that became one of his more memorable hits. The man shifted his focus to the Mainland Chinese market in 2006, giving his songs an even wider regional appeal.
