Austin DeLone is a bit of an underappreciated rock & roll pioneer, a driving force in the back-to-basics movement that became known as pub rock in the early '70s as the leader of the band Eggs Over Easy. Following the band's breakup, DeLone settled in Northern California and started gigging as a session musician, playing local shows and taking jobs as a sideman. In 1991 he released his solo debut, DeLone at Last, and 25 years later he teamed up with guitarist Bill Kirchen to release the duet album Transatlanticana in 2016. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
