Budou

Budou

Ten years after releasing Killer Street, Southern All Stars return with Budou, their 15th studio album. Following the disco-flavored opener “Aloe,” other standout tracks like “Tokyo VICTORY,” “Hotaru,” and “Peace and Highlights” add a touch of glamor. The band changes gears with “Iya na Kotodarake no Yononaka de”, a mid-tempo song about the trials and hardships of life that was also the theme song for TV drama, “Ryusei Wagon”. On the epic ballad “Heiwa no Kane ga Naru,” the All Stars pull out all the stops, calling for everlasting peace. Budou showcases a compelling range of styles and themes—and is surely a classic in the making.
